Review

Half-Life 2: Episode Two is the sequel to the Episode 1. Both games are part of a trilogy that is supposed to end this year. This second episode takes a different approach. Both are first person shooters. Both were developed by different teams, which considered different aspects important. Both follow a common plot. The first game featured City 17, which was a base of operations for the humans that were left to fight an alien invasion. They were successful in destroying one of the enemie bases, but, thus, they had to relocate. Episode 2 picks up the plot there. Now the main characters are on the run. And you are not confined to small spaces like in Episode 1, instead, you are given a sort of open-world which you have to use to complete your missions. The game remains linear in nature, but the maps are so much vaster. The graphics remain the same, since both games use the same engine, Source. There aren't any new weapons. The game is simply a great sequel, and there are more to come. Episode 2 offers some 10 hours of constant gameplay.
Advantages
  • Great graphics and storyline.
Disadvantages
  • None.
